Thx to CRAVEN & AROSE...

You that doubt StSt, must go directly to 6-14 (find it yourself--no links for the wimps) and listen to what is the finest jammed version ever (beward poor sound quality).

Seriously; the changes, the lyrics, the lead OUT of DS and into the...yes...the William Tell Bridge...and the Eleven.

Well, trust, there's simply no way it can be rated any higher than it is, and you all know it BEAT DS as "best DEAD song ever".

Right?

There's not much to talk about, except, as noted, to mumble about why one doesn't get something that one SHOULD.

Ahem.

I just want to point out that i gave props to the WT Bridge. In my sandwich analogy i think of it as a spicy mustard. You on the other hand are more like relish.

I think you made my point easier. If it is rated as the "best dead song ever" than it can justifiably be classified by anyone who even ranks it as high as number 2, as overrated. So i can like St. Stephen, even your beloved 6-14, and still think it is overrated!

Now its gun to your head on a deserted island time. You have a tape of 10-12-68 set 1 and you are forced to get rid of one song that isn't named DDHNM. What do you delete? Dark Star? St. Stephen? The Eleven? WT is hardly a song so i don't think we can include that and it isn't really part of St. Stephen either so it stays. Whats it going to be relish boy?

I don't necessarily disagree with you, but...

Wait, per Forum rules it IS necessary that I disagree with you. No offense, old chum, but rules are rules.

You are wrong. Doesn't matter what you said (as if I'd read your drivel anyway), it was already wrong before you typed it.

Life is so much easier with a few mathmatical certainties built in.

Actually, I should explain, uj, in case it was before your time--not sure, was it? Seriously--it was back during the "Forum Wars", long ago, and far...er...ack.

Well, again, seriously--it was a long and complex voting system (some here like Bill could explain it), in which everyone starts by selecting...crap. Can't recall. But, literally 100s of iterations were involved, and the in the final analysis it did in fact "win".

Truth be told, however, it was at Dead Hook, and I think it may have been that though many 100s MIGHT have participated, in fact, it was probably only dozens and dozens of die hard fans.

Counts for something, right?

;)
